Sketchy Sunday

Who loves sketches??? Everyone loves sketches, right? Here is one that incorporates a lot of journaling. My example includes the new Journaling Bits Stick Ons. They make journaling SO EASY!!!

Scrappy Saturday!

Howdy! It's me - Christy here on a Scrappy Saturday...at least I wish I was Scrappin! I always wish I was scrapping ;-). Sometimes it's just life that prevents me from documenting the memories( you know, laundry mounain and hungry kids!) and other times it's just - I have no clue what to scrap about or where to get started. One of the most motivating things for me is a challenge - so today I'm going to issue all you blog readers out there a challenge. There is no prize other than your finished project, but if you post on Marcie's thread - there is a prize there

Here is my challenge to you - take some time today, or early next week and Scrap some out door pictures... dig through and find anypark, hike, sports pictures anything outside and scrap it! Don't worry if the event is "out of order" - just scrap!

This is a layout I did of my kids feding the ducks - there are no Midnight Oil Products on the pages, but hey it's a cute layout!

Happy 4th of July, Bloggers! I (Gloria) am your Fun Friday Hostess! Each Friday I will post something FUN. It may be a fun technique, a fun product, a fun photo, a way to have fun while scrapping, and so forth. I want you to put the FUN back in your papercrafting! And if you ARE having fun already, then I want you to have even more fun!

In honor of our nation's birthday, I have posted this layout, using MOSD Patriotic Stackers. MOSD has Stackers for holidays, special occasions, milestone events, and more. Check the website to see which Stackers you'll need to scrapbook all your FUN July events.

FUN Idea to note: The scallop paper in my layout was made using my Cricut Expressions machine, with the trial version of Cricut Design Studio. Now I don't have to pay high prices for pre-cut scallop paper. And I can use any color I want. Now, that's FUN!

Thursday's Thoughts-New MOSD Stick-ons!

Well, my Thursday gig here is to give you my thoughts on a Midnight Oil product each and every week. This week I have chosen the NEW stick-ons! I sooo love these! They are a combination of sticker/rubon and come in all different colors, shapes, monograms, frames, and more! Be sure to go to the site to check them out. I thought I would share a layout I did with one of the monograms and with a stick-on swirl. And, wouldn't it be even more fun if you could get some of these for free? Well, you can! Just leave a comment here by Sunday about what you think of the stick-ons and your name will go in a drawing to receive some! How cool is that! You could be one of the first people, besides the designers, to get to play with this new product and make all of your friends green with envy.

Here is a GREAT tip for stamping on Acrylic from our Friend Penny over at Life's Journeys Scrapbooking:





Creative Stamping - Acrylic or similar smooth, non-porous surface stamps differently than paper and cardstock. If you're not careful, the stamp can easily slip and smear your image. Sometimes, you can do this intentionally to create cool effects. But if you want a better shot at a clean stamped image, ink your stamp and let it dry for several seconds before placing it on your layout. To further reduce the chance of slipping, just move slowly and be careful to press straight down.
