It's All Boy!

It's Friday again! And I'm back with another project! Last week I showed you a girly tag made with a 4x6 MOSD acrylic page. Today...a boy tag.

These photos are pretty bad. It was late when I took them. If I get a chance I'll do new ones. But I wanted to get the project up!

I made the pinwheel from some Daisy D's paper. I had to glue two sheets back to back since it's single-sided paper. I made the paper hat from a sheet out of an old math textbook.

The background paper is self-adhesive fabric from Making Memories. This has some Tim Holtz metal "bling" on it too!

That's it. Short and sweet this week. The new DT will on board soon! Keep your eyes glued here!

Let's Get Girly!

You heard me right! Let's get girly! Now, if you know me, or have met me, you know I am NOT very girly. I'm big, I'm tall, I'm loud, I have short hair, I wear jeans and sneakers, almost never wear jewelry and wear very little make-up, and am allergic to perfume! I don't even carry a girly purse! But I do admit to some inner girl. So here you go - a very girly project for today!

I used a 4x6 clear acrylic page from MOSD to make this birthday tag. I've been trying to use my left-overs before the new Design Team comes on board and we get all new DT packages! You still have until June 25th to answer the Call (click here for details) so get those entries turned in!

This project came about thanks to several people: thanks to Lori who gave me the idea for a large tag, thanks to Pam for giving me the Girl Friday paper pack for Cosmo Cricket Week at 365 Cards, thanks to Jacquie for the ginormous pom pom trim, thanks to Vicki for the amazing flower swap, and thanks to Vickilyn for taunting me about not using enough ribbon. There are three kinds on this project Vickilyn, including that HUGE pom pom stuff, but it's STILL just a tiny bit! I guess I can't do it!

I edged the clear acrylic sheet with paint and then attached my paper to it with adhesive. Check out these mulberry paper flowers! Aren't they awesome?! Some I got from the Crop Stop store, but the rest came to me in a flower swap I participated in at Crop Stop.

See the green "leaves"? They are actually petals from a green flower. Who uses green flowers? But if you trim off the petals at an angle, they make great leaves! The glitter brad I got from Michael's - the Recollections line.

This tag is sparkly and pink and flowery and very GIRL. Perfect for attaching to a birthday gift for your best gal pal. I put a plain pink backing on the reverse side so you can write a message to your friend.

I hope you visit next week. I am not sure what project I'll have, but there will be something to see.

I Spy With My Little Eye...

We are gearing up to announce a new DT here at MOSD...so while we are in transition, and I am pretty much the only person posting to the blog...I can do what I want...within reason! So for today I went surfing the 'net to find some projects made with MOSD goodies. Here is what I found.

Wordbooks are near and dear to my heart - I love working with them and I love seeing what other folks do with them. I found these two Wordbooks at Kentucky Paper Kreations. I love the soft papers on the "SARAH" book.

And, the thing I love most about MOSD Wordbooks is that you can spell any word you want! Like the name of your favorite sports team!

I found this beautiful "SPRING" Wordbook at Kritsy's Custom Creations. If you want to see all the lovely detail, click the link and go see!

You may also love seeing the Deluxe House Album, an MOSD custom mini!

I also wanted to show you this Big Boy album that my friend Lori made for an MOSD contest back in October 2008. I've seen this album IRL, and it's STUNNING!
I also found these awesome digi templates for the MOSD Perfectly Shaped pages! Now, that rocks!

It's always fun to "run into" MOSD online. If you've made a project with MOSD goodies, post a link so I can come and see!

Friday Fun with Stick-Ons

It's Friday again...so here I am with another project. I know I'm late today...but better late than never! One of my favorite MOSD products is the Stick-Ons vinyl stickers. These things are so cool. And the DT always gets to try out new styles before anyone else! I know I've shown you these before, but I was playing with them again today.

If any of you have been following my personal blog, you know I've been making a TON of cards these days. I've shown you a few here on the MOSD blog, using MOSD products. I hope you can stand to see another one.

You can see that the flower Stick-Ons makes a great accent to this monogram birthday card! (Somewhere one of my friends with a "V" first name is standing by the mailbox!)

Here are a few older projects showing how to use Stick-Ons for quick gifts.

This is a mini "pizza" box which can hold a gift card or some chocolates or other small items.

This is a recycled tin that can also be used to hold little goodies. I stuffed this one with some markers and pads for a friend's daughters.

I hope you have a chance to play with some Stick-Ons! They are great fun!
