Stackers...there's not just for layouts anymore!!

For those that are not familiar with Stackers, they are worth a look! The sets include a topper, edger and monogram. Stackers are really responsible for the birth of MOSD as collaborative effort between 2 stores...Croppers Alley and One Creative Bug. It was a peanut butter meets chocolate idea...one making the die cut words and the other making transparencies...and the rest is history! Originally, the stackers were for layouts, but they are SO MUCH MORE!!! They are perfect for so many things.
Here, I used the Toddler Girl collection to make a complete party package in a snap. What an easy way to get ready for a party!

So here is your assignment...should you choose to accept it (insert Mission Impossible theme song here)...

Take a look at the stacker collections from the link I provided in this post. Then, think of some creative ways to use them and post an idea in this thread. If you have used a stacker collection (in any way) post it in this thread as well. Next Sunday, we will pick a winner for a set of your very own stackers.

Another Challenge from Christy!

Howdy Blog Fans!!! How did everyone do with last weeks Saturday Challenge?

I hope you were able to scrap some outdoor pictures!

This week I plan to motivate you by issuing a "Christmas in July" Challenge ---

scrap somethnig for the hoildays... make a gift, scrap last year's pictures, get your friends together and exchange scrap supplies! The best part about Christmas in July is there is no SNOW! Here is a layout I did - again I crack myself up because there are none of the Wonderful MOSD products on this page, maybe it's because I'm knee deep in cool MOSD word books, oh well - Have a great week and Scrap some Christmas, Haunakkah, Kwanza, Holiday Cheer!

Clearly Disney!

What is more fun than a trip to Disneyland? Scrapbooking the trip with a MOSD Clear Accordion Album! This 4x6 album of four clear pages is just the ticket for scrapping about your Disney fun! I used lots of die cuts from the Cricut system, plus papers and embellies from Sandylion and flowers from Prima. This album has some glitter and some stamping, and was tons of fun to create!

Ideas to note: Use paint to outline the edges of your clear pages. This makes each page stand out. Also, invest in the Gellyroll Stardust glitter pen! You won't be disappointed. This little baby adds glitter to almost any surface without the mess! And y'all know how much I hate glitter mess!

Thursday's Thoughts-Deluxe Edgers & Drawing Winner!

My thoughts for today are about the baseball deluxe edger. Even though my kids aren't into baseball I loved this edger! To me, baseball is all about the glory of summer and those wonderful memories we want to preserve. To show how much I love MOSD's baseball line I will give one lucky winner a MOSD baseball item! Hi, it's Debbie here! Wednesday is my day to contribute to the blog. I haven't thought of any catchy title for my weekly posts yet. If you have any suggestions, post them here - if I like yours, it might net you a RAK!

These days, I am really into mini albums. As Veronica mentioned, minis are a fab way to use a lot of pictures from an event, like a vacation. Since we just returned home from Brant Lake, I thought I'd share a mini album of last year's pics that I made using the MOSD Clearly Designed "Retro" Album.

The really cool thing about these albums is that you get a combination of acrylic on the outside and chipboard on the inside. I chose the mix of blue and green papers to convey the peaceful feeling I get when thinking back on this trip. The acrylic cover gives you a peek of the paper inside. I embellished the cover with transparencies, rub ons and then outlined the edges with a Slick writer.

The possibilities with these albums are endless, so start gathering your vacation pics together and get scrapping! I'd love to see what you've created!

Two fer Tuesday, the hoagie of Life and scrappin

Don't you just love having two posts in one day! Love those word albums from Gloria!

Today is a short post, the world seems to be spinning out of control, with the summer fun, the usual everyday stuff. It's all good--but it's like a HUGE hoagie sandwich, a couple of bites are great, but if you try to eat the whole sandwich at once you get a tummy ache.

So I guess you're wondering how I'm going to transistion into scrapping based on that entry, LOL. Scrapping and life can be alot like that too. We take tons and tons of pics at an event, but we can't make 2 dozen layouts from the same event. THIS is where the mini album totally hits the spot! Multiple photos from the same event sandwiched in between the covers of a fantastic mini album and you've got a tasty little treat, chock full o' memories and good times without getting a creative tummy ache. Here are a few examples of events/times I took or someone took a gazillion photos--they're perfect for a mini album! So if you're feeling overwhelmed by the photo buffet consider creating a mini album!

Wordbooks, How I Love Thee

I know it's not my day to post, but with all the buzz on the Wordbooks, I wanted to share. My BROTHER book was already posted by Ali, but here it is again. You can see that I used a combination of ink and paper to cover the letters. The paper is from Crate Paper and the ink is VersaColor. Also notice the small, clear "frame" with the rubon "Big" - that is the cover of a Clearly Cute Petite album! MOSD products are VERY versatile!

Here are two more. One spells FAMILY and I have added clear acrylic covers, courtesy of MOSD. I used papers from one of those SLABS, you know the ones I mean! We all buy them and then don't even use half the paper!

The other book is a Stacked Expressions Wordbook and says MERRY CHRISTMAS. I used all Basic Grey papers, from all their different Christmas lines. I also love using stamps and paint on my Wordbooks. Sky's the limit on decorating these bad boys!

My crop clubs love these and the gals want to purchase them locally. So I am taking the CHA flyer to my LSS tonight. I have high hopes that they will pick up the kit! Perhaps if they do, I can teach a class for them. woop woop.
