Warm Winter Wishes

For my project this month I used two perfectly shaped mini scallop build a book pages and two perfectly shaped pudgy rectangle build a book pages.
First I ran all four pages through my Sizzix Big Kick to emboss them with my Cuddlebug snowflake embossing folder.

Then I overlapped the two perfectly shaped mini scallop build a book pages to my desired length.
Then I changed my mind about the embossed perfectly shaped pudgy rectangle build a book pages and covered them with paper and inked the edges so they would pop off the perfectly shaped mini scallop build a book pages background.

While these pages were drying, I die cut snowflakes and a snowman. I used Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint on the snowman and then randomly sprinkled Magic Scraps Glitter on the snowflakes, snowman and background - of course once I started I couldn't stop and the glitter took over! :) Arrange snowman, snowflakes and letter stickers as desired.

Finally, punch holes at the top and add ribbon!

Thanks for stopping by the MOSD blog and hope you and your family are having a wonderful 2010!!

Gasp, Carolyn! This turned out absolutely gorgeous! (I LOVE snowmen, BTW!) Love how you pieced the scallop pieces together. And the magic scraps... genious! I never know what to do with mine. My colors aren't the right colors for snow, however. Maybe you can email me and give me some tips since your adorable little snowguy turned out so well. wink. Great job!

This is so adorable! I love how you embossed the chipboard and layered all the pieces - what a great idea. You've given me a great idea to do one for Valentine's Day. Thanks for the inspiration! I'm sure this looks really cute in your home.

Carolyn,

This is adorable! I love all of the "snow". I love the way you put the chipboard pages together to make a longer background!
