Friday Fun with Stick-Ons

It's Friday again...so here I am with another project. I know I'm late today...but better late than never! One of my favorite MOSD products is the Stick-Ons vinyl stickers. These things are so cool. And the DT always gets to try out new styles before anyone else! I know I've shown you these before, but I was playing with them again today.

If any of you have been following my personal blog, you know I've been making a TON of cards these days. I've shown you a few here on the MOSD blog, using MOSD products. I hope you can stand to see another one.

You can see that the flower Stick-Ons makes a great accent to this monogram birthday card! (Somewhere one of my friends with a "V" first name is standing by the mailbox!)

Here are a few older projects showing how to use Stick-Ons for quick gifts.

This is a mini "pizza" box which can hold a gift card or some chocolates or other small items.

This is a recycled tin that can also be used to hold little goodies. I stuffed this one with some markers and pads for a friend's daughters.

Can You Make a Card with That?!

I was looking at my Perfectly Shaped pages, which are made from chipboard, and wondering...if I could turn one into a card. Well, turns out I could!

I attached paper to the front and back of the Perfectly Shaped page, which required some fast work with a craft knife. I used some Scenic Route paper for the front and some plain red cardstock for the back. Then I used a MOSD Stacker collection for the "title." I attached the acetate strip to the front of the card with some brads. I stamped "you & me" with a with some Staz-on ink.

To make the chipboard page into a card, I cut a piece of printed cardstock to size, then scored it at 1/2" from the top. I used a tape runner to attach that scored flap to the back of the chipboard page, thus making a hinge. And TA-DA, a card!

I added a photo of my friend Beverly and me, which covered up the ends of the brads, and a sentiment to the inside. Now, this card is ready to go!

Have You Mailed Your Christmas Cards Yet?

I have made my own Christmas cards since 1995. I know crazy, right? I used to make about 150 to 200 cards! Even crazier! I'm now down to making about 50-60 cards - moving a lot does have the benefit of getting to cross "certain people" off my card list! I have all my cards made, but they are not yet addressed or mailed. I lack follow-through sometimes.

Here are two cards I made using the MOSD Snowflake Stick-Ons. (Both cards appeared on the Card Sketch A Day site in December!)

For this first card I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder to emboss the blue paper. Then I sewed all around the edge (yes, with an actual sewing machine, which I did not break, not exactly anyway...). I trimmed the words from a sheet of scrapbook paper, and hand-sewed them to the card (and I did not even sew the card to my shirt this time!). I added the Snowflake Stick-Ons, and ta-da, a card!
This next card took advantage of the new Inchies craze. (Which is an old technique and used to be called Deco Squares.) I trimmed some squares of paper and added Snowflake Stick-Ons and some glitter with clear Stickles and a glitter pen. Easy and cute!

An Intricacy Card

There are so many different things that you can use the intricacies for that I wanted to share one with you today. I cut my intracacy down and used it for a card, kind of like an overlay. Just choose what color cardstock or patterned paper to put behind it and go from there. You can outline them or ink them too if you like. How creative and fun is that! Show me the creative ways you have used your intricacies and I will draw one lucky name for a RAK from me! Just leave your links in your comment. Great minds think alike...

As soon as I received the MOSD Halloween Stickons, I knew I wanted to make some fun spooky cards with them!

My first card was made by adding a skull Stick On to a punched circle. Add some creepy patterned papers, a sentiment. A quick and easy card!



I fell in love with the little spider Stick On, so I built a card around him using papers from Making Memories. I added some bling for his eyes and BOO!

Pretty Posies

Hello everyone!
Debbie here with another Stick Ons project. I used Stick Ons as the centers to my paper posies to create a cute and easy card.

To make paper posies:
Cut out or punch circles from patterned paper of varying sizes.
Distress edges and crumple circles to add dimension.
Layer circles on top of each other.
Add MOSD Stick Ons to top layer.
Embellish as desired.

Quick and Easy with MOSD

Have you ever needed a gift in a hurry, but wanted something handmade and from the heart? With the MOSD Stick-Ons, a free CD tin, some paper scraps, and a few small embellishments, you can have a cute AND quick gift!







I made this tin and six 3x3 note cards in about 30 minutes! Here's how:

1. I covered the top and inside of a CD tin with some 6x6 Basic Grey Two Scoops paper. I simply used my ATG for adhesive. The tin is a tad smaller than 6x6, so you do have to trim the paper down a little.

2. I used a few scraps of paper, a flower and brad, and a Stick-On to decorate the cover of the tin. I stamped "For You!" inside the Stick-On with black Staz-On ink.

3. I used a bit of velvet ribbon to decorate the edge of the tin. I just stuck this on with craft size Glue Dots.

4. I then cut some white cardstock into 3x6 inch strips and folded them in half to make 6 note cards.

5. Then, I used scraps of the Two Scoops paper to decorate the fronts of the note cards. I added a few Stick-Ons, some stamped greetings, tiny flowers, brads, and buttons to complete the cards. I also tucked small envelopes into the bottom of the tin.

In about 30 minutes I had a FUN gift for a friend who needs a pick-me-up!

Greetings!

This past Monday was my hubby's birthday. I had his present, but sat looking for a card and came up empty. Then I decided to make one.



I used the awesome MOSD stick ons together to make my greeting! I left them plain because there was already a lot of stuff going on with the rest of the card. It was quick and easy (but don't tell my hubby...he thinks it took hours! LOL).

So the next time you are without a card...MOSD is here to help you in a pinch!!
