Autumn Stackers

If you're like me, you have probably snapped more than your share of foliage shots this fall. New England is just so beautiful this time of year.
Today, I wanted to show you how you could use the Autumn Stackers collection for some of those photos:

I started with the the Autumn Edger. It comes as a pre cut paper piecing and a sentiment printed on a transparency. I trimmed along the words, then painted the back side with blue acrylic paint. While it was drying, I got busy with some Glimmer Mists and distress inks.



I took the leaves and gave them all a spritz with Walnut Gold and Sunflower yellow glimmer mists. The burgundy leaves were crumpled and then smoothed out. I inked the creases with distress inks. I used some brown chalk ink along various edges. Since no two leaves are quite alike, I wanted to acheive some variations in color.

Once all my leaves were dry, I assembled the paper piecing, using pop dots to adhere some leaves for added dimension. I layed the sentiment on top, and stapled at either edge to hold in place.



For the title, I used an Autumn Collection Topper:

Since my page didn't show any leaves actually falling, I trimmed the transparency to read "Fall." I liberally sprayed some Walnut Gold Glimmer mist to the word LEAVES and love the result! :



The Stackers and Edgers are easily altered to suit your tastes and match your layouts. Hope this inspires you to get busy with your fall photos!
